Farmers, Tribals March for Land Rights
A big group of farmers and tribal people are walking from Nashik to Mumbai to ask the government for help with their land and other problems.
They started on Sunday and have already walked 60 kilometers.
They want the government to give them rights to their land, build dams for water, and help them sell their crops.
The government has invited some of their leaders to talk about these issues.
The march has caused some traffic problems, but the people are determined to keep going until their voices are heard.
Thousands of farmers and tribal residents marched from Nashik to Mumbai to demand land rights and other long-pending issues.
The march, led by the CPI(M)-affiliated All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), began on Sunday after a failed agitation in Dindori.
Protesters have covered nearly 60 kilometers over two days and have entered Thane district.
The Maharashtra government invited a delegation of protesters for talks at Mantralaya in Mumbai.
Key demands include land rights, irrigation, forest claims, regularization of cultivation, and procurement of agricultural produce at minimum support prices.
