Modi Claims
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, visited Bihar to campaign for his political group, the NDA.
He told people that the first part of the voting in Bihar was like a big electric shock for the leaders who he calls 'jungle raj wallahs.'
He said this is because many people voted, especially young people and women, who he believes are supporting the NDA.
Other important leaders from his group also gave speeches.
One leader, Amit Shah, accused leaders from other parties, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, of wanting to let people who are not supposed to be in India come into a part of Bihar called Seemanchal.
He promised to send any illegal immigrants away.
Another leader, Rajnath Singh, said that the Congress party is trying to split the country by talking about different groups of people and criticized some comments made by Rahul Gandhi.
They are all trying to convince voters to choose the NDA for the upcoming elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the first phase of Bihar elections delivered a '65-volt shock' to 'jungle raj wallahs' due to record voter turnout.
Modi thanked women and young voters, claiming they have chosen the NDA and that the people of Bihar are contesting the elections.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah alleged that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav intend to make Bihar's Seemanchal region a 'den' of infiltrators and promised to deport illegal immigrants.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accused the Congress of dividing the nation by caste and religion and criticized Rahul Gandhi's remarks and vote theft allegations.
Campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar elections was concluding, with leaders from the NDA rallying support.
