Pakistan Debuts in Miss World After 73-Year Delay
Pakistan is joining the Miss World pageant for the first time ever.
A young woman named Aniqa Jamal Iqbal will represent Pakistan.
She was recently crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026.
This is a big deal because Pakistan has never been in this contest before, even though it has participated in other beauty pageants like Miss Universe.
In the past, Pakistan didn't join Miss World because of its strict rules about how women should dress and appear in public.
But now, things are changing, and Pakistan is ready to be part of this global event.
Aniqa is excited to show the world what Pakistan has to offer.
Pakistan is making its debut in the Miss World pageant after a 73-year absence.
Aniqa Jamal Iqbal, a 24-year-old business and economics graduate, will represent Pakistan.
The Miss Pakistan World Organisation is supporting the country's participation.
Pakistan has previously participated in other international pageants like Miss Universe and Miss Earth.
The country's late entry is attributed to socio-political and religious values that restricted women's participation in such events.
