UK Says Russian Ukraine War Deaths Exceed 500,000

A British defence leader said that more than 500,000 Russian soldiers have died in the war in Ukraine.

He also said that Russia has suffered 1.5 million total casualties.

Russia has lost many vehicles, weapons systems, aircraft and helicopters, according to his assessment.

Russia did not immediately respond to these figures.

On Friday, Russian drones attacked two gas stations in Kyiv.

Two people were killed and six were hurt at one of the stations.

Ukrainian officials said these attacks are meant to scare people and disrupt everyday life.

Ukraine is asking for more help to protect its skies.

The war began with Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
