Pune Crime Roundup Includes Fraud, Assaults, Drugs And Road Offences
Police in and around Pune are investigating many separate cases.
Some people are accused of stealing money by swapping an ATM card or making false business and medical claims.
In another case, investors allegedly lost more than ₹1.32 crore after promised returns were not paid.
Gold jewellery was also allegedly taken from a neighbour and mortgaged for a loan.
Several people are accused of hurting others during arguments.
Police also reported a roadblock outside a police station and arrested people in two weapon or drug-related cases.
One motorcyclist was injured when another rider allegedly drove on the wrong side of the road.
These are allegations, and the investigations are continuing.
Police reported alleged frauds involving ₹30,000 from an ATM, ₹11 lakh in a liquor-shop deal, ₹1.5 lakh and gold, ₹1.32 crore from investors, and jewellery worth ₹7 lakh.
Several assault cases were reported, including attacks involving stones, sticks, an iron pipe and an iron rod in Talegaon Dabhade, Bhosari and Nigdi.
Police registered a case against nine named people and others over an alleged unlawful assembly, slogans and roadblock outside Bavdhan Police Station.
Talegaon MIDC Police arrested a man and seized 332 grams of ganja valued at ₹1,26,150, while another youth was arrested with an iron machete in Phugewadi.
A motorcyclist was injured in a reported wrong-way collision at Talawade, and the unidentified rider allegedly fled the scene.
