Indo-Pak Children Promote Peace Through Art

Indo-Pak Children Promote Peace Through Art

Children from India and Pakistan have been working together to create a special calendar called the Peace Calendar.

This year marks the 14th time they have done this.

The calendar has 12 pictures drawn by kids, six from each country.

The pictures show what the children think peace looks like.

This year's theme is 'Together We Rise,' which means both countries can grow and do well together.

The group Aaghaz-e-Dosti, which means the beginning of friendship, started this project in 2012.

They believe it's important for kids to think about peace, no matter what happens between the two countries.

The calendar was released at an event in Punjab, India.

Kids from different cities in both countries sent in their drawings.

Some even drew pictures of Indian and Pakistani cricketers shaking hands to show sportsmanship.

The group also encourages kids to write letters to each other, though they now have to scan and print them because mail between the two countries has stopped.
