NELCO Expands Satellite Services with DoT Approval
NELCO, a company owned by the Tata Group, got permission from the government to sell more satellite services.
This approval lets them sell services from other companies too.
It's good news because it means they can grow their business.
They also recently shared their financial results, which showed they made more money this year compared to last year.
However, their operating profits were a bit lower.
Their stock price went down a little on the day the approval was announced.
NELCO Ltd received DoT approval to expand satellite services under its Unified License.
The approval allows NELCO to sell VSAT services of other UL-GMPCS licensees.
The license is valid for 10 years, co-terminus with the company's existing Unified License.
NELCO reported a 26.7% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹5.7 crore in Q2 FY24.
The company's revenue grew by 1.6% to ₹76.6 crore, but EBITDA declined by 2.1%.
