Khar Police Hold 17-Year-Old Nephew in Worker’s Alleged Murder

A 35-year-old construction worker was found dead at a building site in Khar West.

His body was reportedly hidden under cement bags and other construction material.

Police said the death likely happened on August 17.

The dead man was identified as Ravishankar Nandkishor Giri.

His 17-year-old nephew, Vishalkumar Ramlakhan Giri, first spoke to police as if he were reporting the crime.

Investigators later said his statements and movements did not match other evidence.

Police then took the teenager into custody on suspicion of involvement.

They said the suspected reason was a disagreement involving an alleged illicit relationship.

The investigation and legal process are continuing.
