NSE Shareholders Cut Stake Sales After IPO Prices Lower

NSE Shareholders Cut Stake Sales After IPO Prices Lower

NSE is planning to sell shares to the public through an IPO.

The shares are priced lower than many investors had expected.

Because of this lower price, some existing shareholders decided to sell fewer shares.

The offering will include 12.64 crore shares and will not give money directly to NSE.

The IPO is expected to raise between ₹21,494 crore and ₹22,569 crore.

It will open on September 17, 2026, and close on September 21.

NSE earns much of its money from trading charges and weekly index derivatives.

The exchange says it wants to grow businesses such as data, connectivity, indices, gold receipts, and exchange-traded funds.

NSE has not yet asked to trade its own shares on its platform.
