Super Investors Back Turning-Point Stocks
Three big investors in India have recently bought shares in three different companies.
Sunil Singhania invested in a cargo airline called Afcom Holdings, which is growing fast but has some debt.
Ashish Dhawan invested in a lending company called IIFL Finance, which is recovering from some past problems.
Sanjiv Shah invested in a chemical company called Kanoria Chemicals, which is improving after selling off a losing part of its business.
All three companies are at important points in their growth, and the investors see potential in them.
However, each investment also comes with some risks, like debt, regulatory issues, or pledged shares.
The investors are experienced and know these risks, but for regular people, it's important to understand why these investments were made and what could go right for them to succeed.
Sunil Singhania's Abakkus Fund took a 2% stake in Afcom Holdings, a Chennai-based cargo airline, worth Rs 81 cr.
Ashish Dhawan raised his stake in IIFL Finance, a diversified NBFC, to 1.33%, worth over Rs 315 cr.
Sanjiv Shah increased his stake in Kanoria Chemicals, a chemical maker, to 3.97%, worth Rs 25 cr.
Afcom Holdings has seen a 144% sales surge in FY26 but also has mounting debt and aviation risk.
IIFL Finance is recovering from regulatory issues and a provision on AIF-linked investments, with improving asset quality and loan book growth.
