ICSI Opens Mauritius Governance Conference, Announces 2027 Global Summit
A big group of corporate secretaries from India, called ICSI, started a big meeting in Mauritius.
The meeting is about helping companies act honestly and make good choices.
It began on 3 August 2026.
The meeting's theme is about staying strong when the world feels uncertain and confusing.
Many important leaders spoke, including a minister from Mauritius and an ambassador from India.
They talked about how boards of companies can plan better and use new technology safely.
They also discussed how India and Mauritius can work together to help businesses grow.
At the end of the meeting, they announced another big conference in Mumbai, India, in January 2027.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) inaugurated its 5th International Conference 2026 in Mauritius on 3 August 2026.
The three-day conference runs on the theme 'Strengthening Governance in VUCA World' and ends on 5 August 2026 with a study tour of the Ministry of Financial Services and Economic Planning.
Dr the Hon Jyoti Jeetun, Minister of Financial Services and Economic Planning, Mauritius, was Chief Guest, and Anurag Srivastava, High Commissioner of India, was Guest of Honour.
Sessions covered geopolitics and risk oversight, sustainability, the India–Mauritius partnership, responsible AI, stewardship, and shareholder participation.
ICSI announced its Global Governance Conference, scheduled for 8–9 January 2027 in Mumbai, India.
