Tata Group's 2025 Market Performance and 2026 Outlook
The Tata Group, a big company group in India, had a tough year in 2025 with their total value in the stock market going down by 15%.
This is different from the previous two years where their value went up by 10% in 2024 and 34% in 2023.
Out of their 24 companies listed on the stock market, only four did better than the Sensex, which is a measure of how well the stock market is doing.
Some important companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Motors saw their value drop by more than 20%.
However, the chairman of Tata Group, N Chandrasekaran, is optimistic about the future.
He said the group is entering a phase of big opportunities and is focusing on advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and sustainability.
They are building new factories, investing in AI, and working on sustainable projects like electric vehicles and green steel.
Despite the challenges, he believes the Tata Group is set for its most successful period in history.
Tata Group's market value fell by 15% in 2025, with only 4 out of 24 listed companies outperforming the Sensex.
Key companies like TCS and Tata Motors saw over a 20% decline in market value.
Chairman N Chandrasekaran described 2025 as a 'humbling year' but sees 'big strategic opportunities' ahead.
The group is investing heavily in advanced manufacturing, AI, and sustainability for future growth.
Tata Motors crossed a milestone of 250,000 electric vehicles on Indian roads, and Tata Steel is set to begin producing green steel.
