Harivansh Praises Women's Representation in Governance
Imagine more women are now in charge of making decisions in local areas, like your town or city!
A leader named Harivansh is happy about this.
He said that in 2006, a place called Bihar started letting women take up half the seats in local groups, and now many other places do the same.
Because of this, there are over 14.5 lakh women helping to lead!
Harivansh also mentioned how India is working towards including more women in leadership, and how this can help everyone.
He highlighted how making sure women have equal opportunities is good for the country, like when a woman from a tribal background became the President of India.
He thinks that when women are involved, things like health and local services can improve for everyone.
RS Dy Chairman Harivansh praised increased women's representation in grassroots governance.
Bihar reserved 50% seats for women in local bodies in 2006, followed by about 21 states.
Over 14.5 lakh women are now representatives at the grassroots level.
Harivansh emphasized gender-inclusive growth aligns with India’s broader growth story.
He highlighted the impact of women's reservation legislation and its impact.
