Greenman and Mangroveman Unite to Plant 100K Saplings in Sunderbans
The 'Greenman of India' and the 'Mangroveman' are teaming up to plant a lot of mangrove trees in Sunderbans!
They're planting these trees to help protect the coast from rising sea levels and climate change.
Reddy, who has planted millions of trees before, is working with Mondal, who has planted over a million mangroves already.
They're planting one lakh (100,000) mangrove saplings.
They started on a special day for mangrove protection, working with a group called the Mangrove Army to plant 3,000 trees on one day alone.
Their goal is to protect more areas with mangroves in the Sunderbans.
M. Karunakar Reddy, the 'Greenman of India', began a mangrove sapling plantation drive in the Sunderbans.
Reddy, joined by 'Mangroveman' Umasankar Mondal and his Mangrove Army, aims to plant one lakh saplings.
