Indian Railways announces New Delhi-Supaul special train service
The Indian Railways, which runs trains in India, has announced a new special train.
A special train is one that only runs for a certain time, not all year round.
This new train will go between New Delhi, India's capital city, and a town called Supaul in the state of Bihar.
The train will stop at many other towns and cities along the way, like Saharsa, Khagaria, and Chhapra.
It will run every day in both directions.
The train from New Delhi leaves at 9:35 at night and reaches Supaul at 6:35 in the morning.
The train going back leaves Supaul at 7:45 in the morning and arrives in New Delhi at 3:00 in the afternoon.
It will run from August 6 until the end of September 2026.
This gives people more choices when they want to travel between Delhi and Bihar.
It will help many passengers plan their journeys more easily.
Indian Railways has announced a new special train between New Delhi and Supaul, providing direct rail service to Bihar's Mithilanchal region.
Train 04072 will operate daily from August 6 to September 30, 2026, departing New Delhi at 9:35 PM and arriving at Supaul Junction at 6:35 AM.
The return service, 04071, will run daily from August 8 to October 2, 2026, leaving Supaul Junction at 7:45 AM and reaching New Delhi at 3:00 PM.
Key stoppages include Saharsa, Khagaria, Begusarai, Barauni, Hajipur, Chhapra, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Ghaziabad.
The special train gives passengers an additional reserved travel option and improves connectivity between the national capital and key Bihar cities and towns.
