Delhi Metro Announces Tunnel Breakthrough on Golden Line
The Delhi Metro is building new underground tunnels to make it easier to travel around the city.
A giant machine, called a TBM, is used to dig these tunnels.
This machine just finished digging a tunnel near Tughlakabad Railway Colony station.
This is part of a bigger plan to build more underground metro lines.
The government is happy because it shows the metro project is moving forward, making it faster and easier to get around.
DMRC achieved a tunnelling breakthrough on the Tughlakabad-Aerocity corridor of the Delhi Metro.
The breakthrough occurred at the Tughlakabad Railway Colony station.
A Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) completed the 792-meter tunnel.
The tunnel is part of Delhi Metro's Phase IV expansion.
The second tunnel breakthrough is expected by July 2025.
