Silver Prices Rebound After Sharp Drop
In 2025, silver prices went up a lot because there wasn't enough silver to meet the demand from industries and investors.
This was called a structural rally, meaning it was based on real supply and demand issues, not just speculation.
Silver is used in many new technologies, like solid-state batteries, which increased the demand.
However, after reaching record highs, silver prices dropped sharply because some investors decided to sell their silver to make a profit.
This drop was also influenced by talks about a potential peace deal in Ukraine, which reduced the need for safe-haven investments.
Despite the drop, experts believe silver will continue to do well because of the ongoing supply shortages and strong demand.
Silver prices in India rebounded after a sharp one-day fall, rising over 4% to ₹2.36 lakh/kg.
Globally, silver prices stabilized after a 9% drop in the previous session, reaching $73.06 per ounce.
The rally in silver prices was driven by a prolonged physical supply deficit and strong industrial and investment demand.
China's role as a major refiner and importer of silver, along with upcoming export licensing requirements, contributed to the supply constraints.
Experts believe the silver rally is structurally driven and not just speculative, with targets set at $77 per ounce on COMEX.
