NEET SS 2025 Cut-Offs Reduced After Supreme Court Order
The medical examination board changed the passing rule for NEET SS 2025.
The required level was lowered from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile.
This means more candidates can now qualify for counselling.
Each question paper group has its own qualifying score out of 600.
The scores range from 175 for the Medical group to 325 for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The change followed a Supreme Court order and action by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Candidates’ earlier group-specific ranks will not change.
They will not receive new scorecards, and their submitted MBBS information will be checked during admission.
NBEMS lowered the NEET SS 2025 qualifying percentile from the 50th to the 30th percentile.
Candidates scoring at least the 30th percentile in their respective question paper groups are now qualified for counselling.
Revised group-wise cut-offs range from 175 marks for Medical to 325 marks for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, out of 600.
The revised result was shared with the Medical Counselling Committee, while group-specific ranks announced on January 23, 2026, remain unchanged.
NBEMS will not issue fresh scorecards, and candidates’ submitted MBBS marks will be verified during admission.
