Fadnavis Emphasizes Numbers Over Ideology in Politics
Devendra Fadnavis, a senior leader of the BJP, said that in politics, having more supporters (numbers) is more important than having strong beliefs (ideology).
He said this after Prashant Kishor's new party, Jan Suraaj, did not win any seats in the Bihar elections.
Fadnavis said that to make a difference, you need to have a lot of people supporting you.
Prashant Kishor had said before the elections that his party would not team up with any other party.
The other main party in the elections, RJD led by Lalu Yadav, did better than Jan Suraaj but still did not win many seats.
Fadnavis also talked about how his own party, the BJP, has been flexible and worked with different parties to run the government.
Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that numbers are more important than ideology in politics.
Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party won zero seats and less than 3.5% of votes in the Bihar elections.
Fadnavis cited Kishor's poor performance to highlight the need for numerical strength in politics.
The RJD, led by Lalu Yadav, won 25 seats and 23% of the votes, performing better than Jan Suraaj.
Fadnavis mentioned the importance of alliances and flexibility in politics, citing his party's recent history.
