Matricide Accused Arrested After Five Years
A man named Animesh Jha, who was accused of killing his mother in 2017, was caught by the police after five years.
He had run away to Nepal and was hiding near the border between India and Nepal.
The police used special tracking methods to find him.
Jha had some problems with drugs and often fought with his mother.
He thought his mother was going to give all her property to his sister, which made him very upset.
Now, he will go to court to face trial for the murder.
Animesh Jha, 42, was arrested near the Indo-Nepal border after five years of evading authorities.
He was accused of killing his mother in 2017 over a property dispute and had been declared a proclaimed offender.
Jha was granted interim bail in 2020 but fled to Nepal and evaded capture until his recent arrest.
Police used advanced surveillance and tracking to locate and apprehend him on Nautan Road in Sonauli.
