Kochi Army Towers Demolition Set for November 9, 2025
The government is planning to tear down and rebuild the Chander Kunj Army Towers.
People living there need to move out by July 31, 2025.
They will get help with moving, and the owners might get some rent.
The demolition is planned for November 9, 2025.
The new apartments are expected to be ready by the end of October 2029.
The District Committee set November 9, 2025, as the tentative date for demolition.
Evacuation of families affected by the demolition to be completed by July 31, 2025.
AWHO has been asked to release three months’ rent based on the apartment category.
Each affected family will be given ₹30,000 towards shifting charges.
New apartments are planned to be handed over by October 31, 2029.
