GD Birla Garia Campus Upgraded
The GD Birla Centre for Education in Garia has gotten a big upgrade.
They have two new buildings: one for younger kids and one for older kids.
The buildings have lots of cool new things like a science lab, a big library with 20,000 books, classrooms with Wi-Fi, a larger auditorium, and rooms for art and music.
There are also 100 cameras to keep everyone safe and better fire safety.
The school wanted to make these changes because parents want their kids to have a good education and also enjoy activities like art and music.
The principal, Mr. Lucas, said they want to give kids better opportunities, not just more students.
The school was started in 1973 by B.K. Birla and Sarala Birla, and it's part of the Ashok Hall Group of Schools.
The changes started after Kumar Mangalam Birla, the grandson of B.K. Birla, visited the school in June 2024.
GD Birla Centre for Education has upgraded its Garia campus with new buildings for junior and senior students.
New facilities include a STEM lab, a library with 20,000 books, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, a larger auditorium, and art and music rooms.
The campus is equipped with 100 CCTV cameras and an upgraded fire safety mechanism for student safety.
The makeover was driven by parents' demand for a more holistic education focusing on both academics and co-curricular activities.
The junior school building was commissioned in June 2024, and the senior school shifted to the new premises on November 25, 2024.
