Survey Finds Assigned Land Within KCR Farmhouse

Revenue officials checked land records and surveyed areas near K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse in Erravelli.

They reportedly found at least 10 acres of government-assigned land inside the farmhouse.

Assigned land is land given to eligible people, often to help those without land.

Officials also said some assigned land was used to build the Panduranga reservoir.

The reservoir mainly supplies water to the farmhouse, according to the report.

Villagers said land records may have been changed under the previous government.

Some farmers also said they lost assigned land for the reservoir and did not receive promised replacement land.

The government says it will check the records, recover land held by non-Dalits, and redistribute excess land to landless Dalit families.

The final amount of land involved is still unclear because some records overlap or differ.
