ASI Restricts Entry to Sun Temple's Nata Mandap for Tourist Safety
A very old and beautiful temple called the Konark Sun temple has a special part called the 'Nata Mandap' where people used to go.
But now, a group called ASI has decided that tourists can't go inside the Nata Mandap anymore.
This is because some people have gotten hurt falling while trying to take pictures.
Also, some people were touching and scratching the stone art.
So, to keep everyone safe and to protect the ancient artwork, ASI has put up a barrier.
The temple is a special place, recognized by UNESCO, and it's important to keep it safe for many years to come.
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has prohibited tourists from entering the 'Nata Mandap' of the Konark Sun temple.
The directive, issued on Saturday, also forbids tourists from touching the sculpted stone artworks.
Reasons for the restriction include preventing tourist injuries from falls and preserving the monument from damage.
Security personnel have been deployed to enforce the new entry restrictions.
The Konark Sun temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built in the 13th century and is known for its architectural and artistic excellence.
