APCRDA Conducts E-Lottery for Returnable Plots in Vijayawada
Imagine the government is building a new city called Amaravati.
To do this, they needed land, so farmers gave some of theirs.
Now, the government is giving back plots of land to these farmers.
They held a special online lottery to decide who gets which plots.
A total of 1756 plots were given to 134 farmers.
The farmers can now build homes or businesses on these plots.
The government helped the farmers understand the process, and it didn't cost them anything to register.
The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) held an e-lottery for returnable plots.
The e-lottery was for farmers who contributed land for the Amaravati development.
1756 plots (1033 residential, 723 commercial) were allotted to 134 farmers.
The e-lottery took place at the APCRDA office in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
