Madhya Pradesh Liquor Deaths Reveal Alleged Cheap Supply Chain

Police in Madhya Pradesh are investigating deaths linked to liquor they suspect was made or sold illegally.

The trouble began in two villages in Sagar district called Nauraj and Patan.

People bought cheap bottles after sellers told them the liquor was real and safe.

Two named victims, Rajendra and Roshan, became very sick after drinking and later died in hospitals.

Other people in Nauraj also reportedly died after drinking the liquor.

Police believe many people may have helped make, move or sell it.

Fourteen people have been formally arrested, and another suspect is being questioned.

Families said some victims became sick very quickly, with vomiting, confusion and loss of consciousness.

Police say the investigation is still continuing.
