Allahabad High Court Halts Trial Proceedings Against Mukhtar Ansari's Son
Imagine a politician named Abbas, whose father is a famous strongman.
Abbas held a big meeting before an election, and some people say he gathered a crowd without permission.
During the meeting, he allegedly made some threats to the local government officials, saying he'd deal with them after the election.
Because of this, the police filed a case against him and many others.
Now, Abbas has asked a higher court, the Allahabad High Court, to dismiss the case.
The High Court has listened to Abbas and said that the lower court cannot continue with the trial for now.
They will look into the case more carefully, and the next time they will discuss it is in December 2025.
