Assam CM Advocates Arms Licenses for Indigenous People's Survival
The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, wants to give out gun licenses to people in certain areas.
He believes this will help them stay safe and survive.
The government will start issuing these licenses through a special website in August.
He mentioned that people have been asking for these licenses since a period of unrest called the Assam Agitation.
The CM also commented on a university chancellor's offer to help children whose families were kicked out of their homes, saying education is good but shouldn't be used to go against the government.
