Indian man charged in Oregon crash
A man named Rajinder Kumar, who came to the US from India without permission, was driving a big truck when it had an accident.
His truck was stopped in a way that blocked the road, and another car hit it.
Two people in that car died.
Now, Kumar is in trouble for not being careful enough.
Some people are saying this is part of a bigger problem with people who come to the US illegally driving big trucks.
There have been other similar accidents recently involving Indian nationals who entered the country illegally.
Rajinder Kumar, an Indian national who entered the US illegally, was charged with criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangering after a semi-truck collision in Oregon.
The crash resulted in the deaths of William Micah Carter, 25, and Jennifer Lynn Lower, 24.
The collision occurred when Kumar's truck was jackknifed, blocking both lanes, and the victims' car struck the trailer at highway speed.
ICE has issued an arrest detainer for Kumar, who was uninjured and later arrested and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail.
This is the fourth recent case involving Indian nationals who entered the US illegally and were later involved in serious trucking accidents.

Immigration Enforcement
The DHS and ICE emphasize that Kumar entered the US illegally and was issued a commercial driver's license, posing a danger to public safety.
Immigration Advocacy
Advocates may argue for comprehensive immigration reform and better vetting processes for commercial driver's licenses to prevent such incidents.
