Indore Kalash Auction Raises ₹53 Crore During Chaturmas
During a special religious meeting in Indore, many people wanted to help by bidding money for sacred pots and other rituals.
The total money they offered was about 53 crore rupees, which is a huge amount.
The biggest bid was 16.16 crore rupees, made by two friends, and the teacher blessed them.
People who win the bids do not have to pay all the money right away; they can pay it over the next few years.
The organizers said that many of the winners already support these events and that any taxes will be handled by the government.
Devotees at Muni Shri Sudhasagar Ji Maharaj’s Chaturmas discourse in Indore placed auction bids totaling ₹53 crore for ceremonial kalash and other rituals.
Highest bid was ₹16.16 crore jointly by Tapan Muni Goyal and Navin Anand Goyal, which received the guru’s blessing.
Other high‑value bids included ₹5.55 crore for Shrut Saketa Shreni Kalash, ₹3.55 crore for the current discourse ritual, and multiple ₹3.33 crore bids for various ceremonies.
Winners are not required to pay immediately; they can settle the pledged amount over the coming years, usually before the next Chaturmas, by cash or cheque.
Organisers noted that many successful bidders are long‑time patrons and that any tax liabilities will be handled under the Income Tax Act.
