Modi Urges New BJP MPs to Think Like Gen Z
The leader of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had a breakfast meeting with new members of parliament from his party, the BJP.
He told them they should learn to think like Gen Z, which means today's young people.
Modi said young people like to share their opinions before listening to advice, and they care about results.
He said young people know what is happening around the world because of the explosion of information.
He told the new MPs to behave with seriousness and dignity in parliament.
He asked them to come to parliament regularly and spend time in the library.
He also told them to help organize sports games for young people in their areas.
These games are called 'Khelo MP Youth Games' and can help young people stay away from addiction.
The meeting happened at the Prime Minister's home in New Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met 37 newly elected BJP Rajya Sabha MPs at a breakfast meeting at his Lok Kalyan Marg residence.
Modi urged MPs to adopt a youth-oriented perspective, describing Gen Z as 'result oriented' and preferring to express views before considering suggestions.
He advised MPs to treat parliamentary proceedings with 'utmost seriousness and dignity' and cautioned them against the 'Lutyen Zone racket.'
Modi asked MPs to attend Parliament regularly, use the Parliament library, and implement the MP Local Area Development Scheme with a focus on youth and sports.
He called on MPs to organise 'Khelo MP Youth Games' to engage with young people and address issues such as addiction.
