Kirron Kher Objects to Plaques Crediting Successor for Projects
Imagine Kirron Kher was in charge of some projects, like building things, when she was a Member of Parliament.
These projects were supposed to be done with money from a special fund called MPLADS.
Even though the projects were finished after she was no longer in the job, the plaques, which are like signs, have the new MP's name, Manish Tewari, on them.
Kher is not happy because she believes the signs should have her name since she was the one who suggested these projects in the first place.
She wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of Chandigarh, because the rules say that the MP who suggests a project should get the credit, no matter when it's finished.
Kirron Kher, former Chandigarh MP, objects to plaques crediting her successor.
Kher recommended projects under MPLADS from 2019 to 2024.
Completed projects after her tenure bear Manish Tewari’s name instead of hers.
Kher cites MPLADS guidelines regarding MP recognition on projects.
She wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of Chandigarh to address the issue.
