Sri Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti Celebrations Begin
Every year, on the full moon day in the Magha month, people celebrate Sri Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti in Tirumala.
This year, it's on February 1.
A long time ago, a wise man named Sri Ramakrishna Maharshi did penance on a hill and created a special holy spring.
Now, people go to this spring to see the idols of Sri Rama and Sri Krishna being anointed with milk, curd, and sandalwood paste.
The TTD has made lots of arrangements for the visitors, like tents, announcements, and medical camps.
They've also arranged buses to take people to the site.
Only healthy people can go, and they have to get checked by doctors first.
The celebration starts at 6 AM and ends at 12 Noon.
