Delhi PWD to Insure Foot Overbridges to Curb Theft and Improve Upkeep
The Delhi government is making sure that the bridges for people to walk across are safe and in good shape.
They're going to pay a company to fix and clean the bridges, and to watch over them so nothing gets stolen.
They're also insuring all the electrical parts, so if anything goes missing, the company has to replace it.
This is because a lot of the bridges have problems like broken elevators and missing parts, and this project is meant to fix those issues.
It will cost about 5.4 crore rupees and includes several bridges and underpasses.
Delhi PWD will insure electrical installations at foot overbridges and underpasses.
This initiative aims to curb theft and improve infrastructure upkeep.
A private company will handle repairs, maintenance, security, and cleanliness.
The project covers 12 foot overbridges and six pedestrian underpasses.
The total cost of the project is Rs 5.4 crore.
