Gurgaon CEO’s Sleep Debate Challenges India’s Early-Rising Expectations

Gurgaon CEO’s Sleep Debate Challenges India’s Early-Rising Expectations

Jasveer Singh started an online discussion about whether waking up very early really makes someone disciplined.

He said sleeping until 9 a.m.

does not automatically mean a person is lazy.

He also said waking at 5 a.m.

after only five hours of sleep can be unhealthy.

According to Singh, getting enough good-quality sleep matters more than a specific wake-up time.

Some people agreed that families and society judge people unfairly for sleeping late.

Other people said early mornings can offer quiet time for exercise, studying, meditation, or work.

They also agreed that people should not lose sleep just to wake up early.

Singh said the best schedule depends on each person.
