Bandra Fort connector adds ₹1,722 crore to VBSL project

Bandra Fort connector adds ₹1,722 crore to VBSL project

The government approved a new road connector between the Versova-Bandra Sea Link and Bandra Fort.

It will cost about ₹1,722 crore.

The connector will be 3.55 kilometres long and have two lanes in each direction.

Officials hope it will make it easier for people in Bandra to reach the sea link.

This is because many roads inside Bandra are narrow and crowded.

Surveys of the ground are being done before construction begins.

Tenders may be invited in the next two to three months.

The connector could be finished around the same time as the sea link, which is targeted for May 2028.

The full sea-link project and its connectors are expected to cost ₹19,843 crore.
