PTV Wins Pakistan Cricket Rights Below Reserve Price

PTV Wins Pakistan Cricket Rights Below Reserve Price

Pakistan’s cricket board was selling the right to broadcast 25 home matches.

It set a minimum expected price of 600 million rupees.

Only Pakistan Television Corporation made a bid, offering 350 million rupees.

The board sold the rights at that lower price.

The matches include Tests, one-day games and T20 games.

A source said advertisers were less interested because the teams had not been playing well.

The source also said some broadcasters still owed the board money from older agreements.

Those broadcasters could bid, but chose not to.
