Tamil Nadu Plans Special Drive to Enroll Voters Left Out
Tamil Nadu will hold a special drive to help more people join the voter list.
It is for people who were missed earlier and young people who are eligible to vote for the first time.
The drive will happen in every district.
Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik announced it after receiving instructions from the Election Commission of India.
The enrolment will be done as voter records are updated.
Different forms will be used outside the special voter-list revision period.
A final voter list released on February 23 removed 74.07 lakh names.
The state then had 5.67 crore registered electors.
