Visakhapatnam Plans Major Growth Push With ₹21.64 Lakh Crore Investment

Visakhapatnam is planning a large program to grow its economy and infrastructure.

P.V.N. Madhav said the city could become a world-class city and an important economic centre.

The state government wants to attract ₹21.64 lakh crore in investments over the next two years.

Officials expect these investments to create about 23 lakh direct and indirect jobs.

Another plan looks toward 2032 and proposes ₹9.30 lakh crore in investment.

The city may use its 51.88-kilometre coastline to become a “Bay City.”

Several large projects, including an airport, railway zone and data centre, are expected to support growth.

The railway station may also add six platforms for more passengers and trains.
