Bengaluru Announces Meat Ban for Krishna Janmashtami
The city of Bengaluru will not allow meat to be sold or animals to be slaughtered on August 16.
This is because of the Hindu holiday of Krishna Janmashtami.
The city government made this decision by issuing an official notice.
This means that all meat shops and slaughterhouses must be closed on that day.
BBMP announced a ban on animal slaughter and meat sales.
The ban is for the day of Krishna Janmashtami.
The ban will be in effect on August 16.
The announcement came via a circular.
The circular was issued by the BBMP's Joint Director (Animal Husbandry).
