Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial: Duxbury Mother Pleads Not Guilty

Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial: Duxbury Mother Pleads Not Guilty

A nurse named Lindsay Clancy is in a courtroom because something very sad and scary happened to her family.

Police and lawyers say that her three little children, who were 5 years old, 3 years old and 8 months old, died at their home.

The children's dad was not at home when it happened on January 24, 2023.

Clancy says she is not guilty, which means she says she should not go to jail for this.

Her lawyers and doctors say she was very, very sick in her mind and could not understand what she was doing.

She had a sickness called postpartum psychosis that can happen after a baby is born, and she had tried to get help from doctors before this happened.

The other lawyers do not believe that story and say she planned what happened and did it on purpose.

The judge and jury must decide who is right.

If she is found guilty, she could stay in prison for life, and if she is found not responsible because of sickness, she would stay in a special hospital instead.
