Tribals Urged to Fight for Rights
A meeting was held in Machilipatnam where a leader named Vaditya Sankar Naik spoke about the problems faced by tribal people living in plain areas.
He said that even after many years of independence, these tribals are struggling without basic things like food, shelter, and proper identification cards.
He mentioned that they are not getting the benefits they should from the government because they don't have enough representation in the government.
He urged all tribal people to come together and fight for their rights, especially as the number of seats in the Assembly is set to increase.
He also said that in the past, tribal people from plain areas had representation, but this has changed over time.
Many other tribal leaders were also present at the meeting.
Vaditya Sankar Naik urged plain area tribals to fight for their rights and representation in the Assembly.
He highlighted that many tribals lack basic necessities and government welfare benefits due to the absence of Aadhaar cards.
Naik stressed the need for tribal representation in legislative bodies to ensure proper utilization of funds for tribal development.
He pointed out that tribal communities like Sugali, Chenchu, Erukula, Yanadi, and Nakkala lack proper representation.
Naik called for tribal members to work towards ensuring the 'Praja Chaitanya Yatra' program reaches every tribal area for future advancement.
