Coupang interim CEO questioned over data breach
The boss of a big online shopping company called Coupang was questioned by police for 12 hours.
They think he might have tried to hide important information about a big data leak that affected millions of people.
The company said only a few thousand accounts were affected, but the police think it's much more.
They also think he might have lied in court and tried to cover up an accident at work that happened a few years ago.
He didn't answer questions when he left the police station, and people are wondering if he might leave the country.
The company says they will cooperate with the investigation.
Coupang's interim CEO Harold Rogers was questioned by police for 12 hours over data breach allegations.
Police suspect 33 million users were affected, while Coupang initially reported only 3,000 accounts were leaked.
Rogers is accused of obstructing investigations and potentially tampering with evidence, including a laptop used in the hacking.
He faces additional allegations of perjury and ordering a report to shield the company from liability after a worker's death in 2020.
Rogers previously defied two police summonses and left South Korea before returning for the questioning.
