Armed Guards to be Deployed at Signature Bridge
The government in Delhi is going to put armed guards at the Signature Bridge to stop people from stealing things and damaging the bridge.
There have been some bad things happening there, like people stealing and even hurting the guards.
So, they will have one guard with a gun at night and two guards without guns during the day.
The bridge is a big and important one in Delhi, and it cost a lot of money to build.
The guards will work in shifts and need to know how to speak English and Hindi.
The bridge helps people get to different places in Delhi and nearby areas.
PWD plans to deploy armed security guards at Signature Bridge to prevent theft and damage.
One armed guard will be on duty at night, while two unarmed guards will be present during the day.
The bridge, opened in 2018, has been the site of several incidents, including theft and suicides.
Maintenance of the bridge is handled by PWD due to a lack of funds from the tourism department.
A tender of Rs 1.5 crore has been issued for the deployment of security guards in eight-hour shifts.
