Noida Supernova Residents Battle Worm-Infested Water Crisis in Homes

Noida Supernova Residents Battle Worm-Infested Water Crisis in Homes

Families living in Noida’s Supernova housing project say dirty water is coming from their taps.

They report seeing worms and black or yellowish water in kitchens, bathrooms and flushes.

Many residents now buy packaged water for drinking.

Some also use expensive filters, but the filters need frequent replacement.

Residents say the project stopped receiving Ganga water more than two years ago.

The Apartment Owners’ Association says unpaid water bills linked to the builder led to the supply stopping.

The association says the building now depends on borewell water that its treatment plant cannot fully clean.

Residents have asked a Supreme Court-appointed committee to help address the health and water-supply problem.
