BrahMos missile emerges as star of India's defence export push

India has built a very fast missile called BrahMos.

It is called a supersonic cruise missile because it can fly faster than the speed of sound.

During a military operation called Operation Sindoor, the missile performed very well, according to a report.

The report says the missile's accuracy and power helped make Pakistan quickly ask for a ceasefire.

The missile was also able to avoid air defence systems that were made in China.

Because of this strong performance, many countries now want to buy the BrahMos missile.

India already signed a deal with the Philippines in January 2022 to sell three missile batteries for $375 million.

Countries like Vietnam and Indonesia are also interested in buying it.

This makes India a bigger seller of defence equipment in the world.
