East-West Metro Services Disrupted by Communication Glitch
Imagine the metro trains have a special system to talk to each other, like a walkie-talkie.
This system had a problem on Thursday, the second day in a row.
The trains between Esplanade and Sealdah couldn't talk, so they had to stop for a little while.
The system has different parts, and the parts between Howrah Maidan and Sealdah couldn't talk to the parts between Sealdah and Sector V. The good news is the problem was fixed faster than it was on Wednesday.
Metro officials and engineers are working to make sure the system works smoothly.
A glitch in the East-West Metro's communications system disrupted services on Thursday morning.
This was the second consecutive day of disruptions due to a similar issue.
Trains were halted between Esplanade and Sealdah for about 30 minutes.
Truncated services ran between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade, and Sealdah and Sector V.
The problem was identified at 10:30 am, with full service resuming around 11 am.
