Twenty-Three Suspected Bangladeshi Infiltrators Sent to Chhattisgarh Detention Centre

Police in Chhattisgarh found 23 people who did not have valid identity documents.

The people were suspected of coming from Bangladesh, but their citizenship has not yet been confirmed.

They were found in the Sirigitti area of Bilaspur district.

The police checked addresses written in their documents.

Those addresses were in Murshidabad and Jangipur in West Bengal.

A police team said the addresses were incorrect or did not exist.

The group was sent to a detention centre in Raipur.

Officials will now investigate their identities and origins more closely.
