East Godavari Finds 181,011 Voters Unavailable During Roll Revision
Officials in East Godavari checked voter addresses while updating the voter list.
They could not find 181,011 people at the addresses recorded for them.
People may have died, moved, migrated, or could not be traced.
Officials say the names will be checked again.
If someone is eligible to vote but their name was removed, they can apply to add it back using Form-6.
The goal is to make sure eligible voters are included and ineligible names are removed.
The final updated list is expected on October 16.
During the Special Intensive Revision, officials marked 181,011 East Godavari voters unavailable at their assigned addresses.
Booth-level officers conducted door-to-door enumeration from June 15 to July 24.
Reasons listed include death, permanent relocation, migration, being untraced, and other factors.
Collector Kirthi Chekuri said names will be re-verified and eligible voters can seek re-registration using Form-6 if deleted.
The final voter list is scheduled for publication on October 16.
