Pratibha Singh Baghel and Shankar Mahadevan Release Devotional Jay Ganesh
Pratibha Singh Baghel has sung a new Ganesh devotional song called Jay Ganesh.
She sings it with her mentor and idol, Shankar Mahadevan.
The song was first made about a year ago but was released this year after plans changed.
Baghel says the song is lively while still showing deep devotion.
She feels devotional music should come from honest belief in God.
She does not think bhakti should be treated only as a temporary trend.
Baghel has celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi through music since she was a child.
In Mumbai, she enjoys visiting friends’ homes for Ganpati darshan and celebrating the festival.
Pratibha Singh Baghel and Shankar Mahadevan have collaborated on the devotional song Jay Ganesh.
The song was created by Swaranjay, Prashant and Rahul Dev and delayed from its planned release last year.
Baghel describes Jay Ganesh as energetic, grand and deeply devotional, reflecting both the bhakti and shakti of Ganesha.
Baghel says Shankar Mahadevan has been her mentor, inspiration and a father-like figure since she moved to Mumbai.
She believes devotional music should come from genuine faith rather than being presented only as a temporary trend or dance format.
